Case Study · Full Brand Identity
A complete visual identity system for a Zimbabwean breakfast-foods house: logo suite, colour and type standards, and a packaging design language carried across coffee, honey, granola and oats.
Brand Overview
Breakfast Basket (ZW) is a Zimbabwean breakfast-foods house producing coffee, honey, granola and oats for local and regional shelves. The brand needed one identity system that could hold together across a genuinely varied product range: a bold single-origin coffee, a delicate honey jar, and a family of cereal packaging, without splintering into unrelated designs per product.
We built a master brand system anchored on a wheat-and-ribbon mark, a fixed three-colour palette, and two paired typefaces, then applied it as a flexible packaging language: a striking export-facing black-and-gold coffee line under its own sub-brand name, "Inzovhu," alongside cleaner, illustration-led packaging for the honey, granola and oats range.
Identity System
A horizontal lockup for primary use, a stacked mark for square and narrow formats, and a reversed white-on-navy version for dark packaging and merchandise.

Colour System
A fixed three-colour system carried across every touchpoint, confident enough for export packaging, warm enough for a breakfast table.
Type System
Two paired display faces: a tall serif for structure and authority, and a looping script for warmth. Neither is used for body copy, only for the wordmark and headline moments.
Applications
